See who got in and who applied
Sent my application in today
Sending in my application this week, little nervous cause my GPA is a little bit on the low side. Hopefully my SAT makes up for it. Good Luck
@hasannadeem47 I had a 28 ACT and a 3.7 UW GPA I am sure you’re fine
Sent in my app last week, now I’m just waiting for the results. I’m confident I’ll get in
@beeblevins stats?
Looking to turn in my app by next week. Nervous but I think I have a good chance. I have high stats but also trying for honors college which places a big emphasis on essays. Mine probably won’t be that great ugh.
I began working on the app but I have not decided if I am going to submit. I do not think I would go to psu(cheaper options I like more) but every time I remeber my visits to psu it makes me happy. Idk
1490 SAT/32 ACT, 4.0/4.85 GPA, 10 AP courses, almost full-time job, etc
Sent my application on September 28. I’m applying as a transfer student. Good luck to all of you!
Question: Should I just apply with my ACT score or wait for my SAT, which will be much better?
I submitted my application today and got a message that I should check the portal tomorrow…what does this mean?
It means that they will list the items they’ll need from you.
@NASA2014 Thanks! Is this normal? I am not experienced with the application process
Yes it’s very normal. I’ve already done that and now I’m waiting for a decision.
Thanks! Good luck to you @NASA2014
Does anyone know when applications usually start rolling out?
@lonelymoonlight Most will come out after Christmas. A small percentage come out before then. Very high stats usually hear first, but most hear in January. Decisions are random. So it doesn’t matter when you put in your application other than having it in before Nov 30. They don’t go in order of submission. They go in ‘random’ order, although you will see that some of the batches released have things in common - GPA or major.
My daughter was a middle of the road applicant 2 years ago and applied Sept 2 with all materials in and in review by Sept 8. She did not hear until the very end of January. It was torture! But so, so worth it. She is thriving there and loves it.
@jlhpsu Do you know when the “very high stats” usually hear by for University Park?
@class0f2017 There is no time anyone hears by, except to say that you will hear by January 31 if your application is complete by November 30. A few high stat kids hear early. Many more high stat kids hear at the end of January like everyone else. Basically, if you are a high stat applicant you have a chance of hearing earlier. But you can also hear later. Many, many, many 4.0 applicants heard in January the last couple of years. Some heard in December. I don’t think many from UP hear prior to Thanksgiving. The commonwealth campuses hear much earlier.
