To answer you and @TCHOI1103, the short answer is March-ish. That said, Penn State gives very little institutional aid. I wouldn’t expect much. They have some merit scholarships they give that amount to $5 or $6K roughly, but nothing that puts a large dent in tuition costs, especially if coming from OOS. They also offer no institutional need based aid, but participate in all government aid programs.

I’ve heard Schreyer is releasing decisions March 1st. That is not officially confirmed, but they will do one upload with everyone’s decision released at the same time.

My son got $3k from college of earth and mineral sciences. We are OOS.
I have yet to hear about financial aid, and I submitted the FAFSA in October. Should I email them?
I dont think so. I was born in pennsylvania but I dont live there rn. They gave me OOS tuition though.
Was this merit specifically from the EMScience School? I ask because it’s my S24’s dream to study Meteorology at PSU. Or was it PSU institutional merit?

My son had all materials in by 12/1. Around early Jan his status went from “materials being verified” to “under review”. He got his decision late January. Not sure if that is typical

Same thing happened today to us. It says to check back tomorrow for an update. Did you ever find out what yours was about?
If you live OOS then yes your tuition and scholarships are treated that way.
DS got his decision on Feb 4th. Applied Nov 1 but some documents were late. So probably got considered for regular decision. There was no mail on Feb 4th, but the mail came in today.
