<p>From what I know, PAFA (Pennsyvania Academy of Fine Arts) can team up with Penn to offer a dual degree in Fine Arts w/Penn. Albeit, very expensive, since I believe for this dual bfa, one pays both the studio and regular degree fees. I don’t really know about Penn’s general fine art situation, but thought that info might help.</p>
<p>ZincOxide is correct. PAFA is a very, very small school which essentially shares its campus with Penn State. It is more traditional as far as the program goes. Obviously you must submit a portfolio, but they typically look for fundamental training (like figure drawings/paintings) as well as somewhat “conceptual” stuff. As small as it is, it’s an AMAZING art school if art is your passion. If you’re just looking for a way to get into Penn State, this wouldn’t be the way about it because they require two applications.
