How is SHC (Schreyer Honor College) compared to other engineering colleges?
I was accepted into Georgia Tech, UT Austin, and UMinn. I was wondering if any one here could give me some feed back on this.

Congratulations on your great acceptances!
Are you in state for any of these?
Do you have an idea of what kind of engineering you might want to study?
Some questions that you might want to ask: how many honors classes are offered for the engineering courses at Penn State? Are they mostly “honors option” or are they separate honors classes?
At Georgia Tech and UT Austin, do you do an undergraduate thesis? (You do at SHC, which gives you the opportunity to work one-on-one with a professor, and this relationship is very valuable, plus the thesis itself can help with grad school and/or jobs)
How difficult is it to maintain the GPA needed to stay in SHC if you are in engineering?
Overall, SHC is very, very selective and highly regarded by graduate schools. However, I really do not know how they might compare it to Georgia Tech and UT Austin.
You have great choices!

I recommend that you also post this question on our Engineering Forum.

On that forum, as well as this, sift through responses as to whose responses you should actually give credence to.

thanks for the input guys, and i will post it on the engineering forum!
