Penn State University Park, Case Western Reserve, or Uconn

So i am from NH and have been accepted into a few other schools, but it is looking as though these will be my top 3. I plan on majoring in accounting. Penn State offered my a provost award that is 24,000 over 4 years, but didn't get anything from Case Western or Uconn. Obviously Case Western is the highest ranked school, but they are not really known for their business program and it is really expensive, plus Cleveland is not all that appealing to me. If i went to PSU or CWRU i would like to do an accelerated five year masters program in accounting. Any Suggestions would be well appreciated. Thanks :)

First, couple of questions: What is your Estimated Family Contribution ? Why isn’t University of New Hampshire on the list ? Seriously, no need or merit based aid from Case ? You should have received some because they give out a lot. Are your stats around the 25th percentile at Case ?

Penn State will cost around 130k OOS for four years assuming you will be able to keep the scholarship all four years. Uconn will be around 157k so Penn State gets the edge. So,you will have to decide between University of New Hampshire and Penn State ?

Good Question. I was accepted to UNH, and is certainly in consideration. The main problem with UNH is that it is a little too close to home, as in i go to high school in durham, which is the town that UNH is located in. Everyone from my school goes there and i want to meet some new people. Plus WSBE (UNH business school) is not ranked very high in terms of job placement. My stats were 3.6 gpa and 2010 sat superscored, which was why i was surprised i even got into case, although i have noticed that they give a lot of merit based aid. My parents have saved a lot, and say they can pretty much pay for Penn state in full, and uconn and obviously UNH. However, with Case i may need to go in debt a little bit, and thats why i really don’t know if it’s worth it.

Little debt for education is good debt.
You have a high SAT but low GPA which might have put you at a disadvantage in Case. Its all comes down to how much loan you will have to take for Case and whether you like rural or urban. Over 40k for 4 years will ruin your life…
