Hello,
I have been accepted to Penn State University Park Electrical Engineering and I’m considering going to the university. This is a period when I have to learn about the housing and pick the best option for me. I’ve read that the East halls are great for the “freshman experience” but at the same time they serve as great distractions. The North halls are spacious however there aren’t many parties/ they aren’t fun places to be (which is what I’ve heard). I would really like to know the pros and cons of all the freshman housing options because I want to make a calculated choice rather than blindly laying my finger on the map.
Thank you
It is easier to visit parties elsewhere than it is to avoid parties when you need to study in your room.

Pollock seems to be a balance between “I want to party” and “I want to be able to sleep.”
I chose North because even if I love going out and partying, I still value my sleep and personal space lol so I wanna be able to come back to a calm environment. I put Pollock as my second choice though, because it seems like it’s a good balance as other people have said. I guess we’ll see what happens!
