Penn state - University Park vs UMass Amherst for Computer engineering (BS)

Hey guys,
I’m an international student and I got accepted to both UMass Amherst and Penn state University Park for BS in Computer Engineering.

I’m in a dilemma on which college to go. I got a scholarship from UMass Amherst of about $10k per annum. But at the same time Penn state is way ahead in the rankings when compared to UMass Amherst for engineering.

Though cost is a factor I don’t want to sacrifice opportunities, better teaching, campus life, etc

So my order of preference would be Good teaching> opportunities> cost of attendance> campus life

Also is it possible for International students to get a scholarship at penn state at the undergraduate level?

Please help me choose :slight_smile:

P.S - I’m also considering to change to CS if possible.

CS at UMass Amherst is excellent. Switch if you can/wishes. Since it’s cheaper, it’s an easy choice :slight_smile:

I would say go with UMass Amherst. The difference in teaching and opportunities is not worth 10k. I fact I would go on to say that there would be more employment and internship opportunities in UMass.
