Penn state university park?

what about the fafsa? And also if i apply undecided, will it be a hassle to pick a major in sophomore year?

Fafsa allows you to get a loan for 5.5k. That’s it.
(If your parents make 45k or less you can get a little grant, but if your parents can spend 25k it means they make much more than that.)
If your parents can afford 25k and our work part-time right now and full time in the summer, you can have 5k between now and August. Total budget 35k max if you have a job, 30k if you don’t.
Penn State costs 46k: you’re, at best 9k short… And at worst way more than that.
If you change your application to dus + summer session, you’ll have to take the same classes and go through the same process whether you applied for a major at admission time or if you do it as a dus student.

@MYOS1634 Would you say engineering is also harder than business to get into?

Yes.
But last year only about 10% applicants got into Smeal directly. It just makes more sense to apply dus and declare sophomore year - that’s what all students must do anyway (there are no direct admits.)

if i apply for dus, i have to change my essay and there is nothing to write about if i’m saying that i haven’t decided what im interested in

You can apply DUS and say you’re interested in Business or economics (first sentence) then keep your essay.

declined from PSU, accepted to Rowan and NJIT

Glad you ended up with some other options @Sidvas. You could also consider the 2+2 program at PSU and start at a commonwealth. PSU is a very prestigious engineering school from which to graduate.

Will you ask to be reconsidered for DUS Summer session (no need to change anything), or will you take Rowan or NJIT?

Most likely NJIT but here is the problem, in my acceptance letter it says that i got admitted into the major of “Engineering science” which is within Newark college of engineering. When applying, the only major i chose was Computer Engineering. Do you think I can change my majors from ES to CE before my first semester? Thanks in advance!
