Penn (vagelos mls) v Dartmouth Pre-med

Basically I am trying to decide which school (assuming I am definitely going to become an MD) is better to go to...Penn offered me a spot in the vagelos program, which is essentially just a masters degree in one of the hard science or engineering with 2 guaranteed summers of paid research. The only reservation I have about penn is the fact that people in the program often have lower GPA's for top medical schools. Dartmouth on the other hand just seems like a great place to be for 4 years, but I am concerned about lack of summer research...what say you? I like both schools equally, but am relatively confident (based on the stories of 15 people in the program at penn) that my GPA would be higher at dartmouth (along with the fact that I like the atmosphere at dartmouth)...

Which school will be more likely to get me into a top tier med school?

I would be happy at either..

thank you so much for any help, I am straight stressin' right now hahaha

Dartmouth is full of opportunities for research. The med-school advising is amazing (Nathan Smith Society), and there is a huge new undergrad/ med school collaborative program. Also Dartmouth is structured really well with the presidential scholar program (research), and a terrific structure for thesis research. These are all reasons why Dartmouth is so renowned for its “undergrad focus.” If you like Dartmouth more I cannot see in any way possible that it would be worse at getting you into a top med school, it could be argued that it would place you at an advantage.
