PennPass

Hey,
I would like to know if any of you guys are considering getting the SEPTA transportation pass, PennPass. Additionally, do any current students know if its worth it in the long run to get one, and exactly what lines, zones, regoins, ect. does it cover?

I'm not sure about coverage...I think it does buses and subways but I don't know about regional rail - I don't think you can use the R1 (airport) train, but you might be able to use the rest.
Personally I don't know anyone who has a PennPass, and most students at Penn have no need of one, but compared with full price SEPTA passes, it's fairly good value.
I imagine that it's mostly useful for commuters and/or grad students/staff who live far away from campus.
If you don't plan on travelling around Philly that much, you probably won't need one. At the same time, if you have one it provides an incentive to travel around Philly more.
Overall, the critical mass in me says you should get a bike instead! ;)
