Penn's Epic Plans for Its Campus

Here’s a link to last Sunday’s Philadelphia Inquirer article about what Penn has planned for its campus…http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/14846943.htm

There was also an article in Phili Mag which I will try to find and link.

that may be it

I just hope this ambitious project doesn't suck money out of students' services.
When my son was there, they postponed renovating the Hamilton dorms because the health services were losing money. I was floored to find out that they co-mingle these funds.

The health system is now doing fabulously well and is a major contributor to the Penn endowment which I believe was up by $600 million this year by mid-May, bringing the total to over $5 billion.

It's an University after all..

Years ago the Penn Health system was in financial ruin. Fortunately, now it is a cash cow (as well as research cow, reputation cow) for Penn at large.

Man I wish I could be a Penn student in a few decades when all these dreams are realized...now I know what it must be like for the Old Guard alumni who come back to Penn and see a campus that has grown exponentially from the one they knew.
