Hello Parents,
Hoping some Pennsylvania parents can clear up the vaccination requirements for my son. We are from Connecticut and my son is heading to Lehigh this fall. He has had two doses of the meningitis B vaccine and will be getting the last one in August before school. Are Pennsylvania students required to get the old meningitis vaccine as well? I guess it is known as MCV4 - Menactra or Meneveo. Not required in Connecticut. Sure would be nice if the vaccination requirements were a national requirement. Thanks a bunch.
It might depend on the school. What matters is what Lehigh requires for attendance/staying in university housing.
Also it might be a good idea for your son to get the MCV4 shot, it covers different serogroups than the Men B shot.
I think that’s a school question, no? Or is it by state? In any case I just looked at the health forms the school sent and made sure she had those.
Thank you OHMomof2 and mommdc. I am just trying to be pro active. Still early in the game.
You can probably clarify this in a minute with a call to the Health Center on campus.

Thank you zobroward. I had looked on the school website but not seen this form. I had thought that Pennsylvania had certain vaccination requirements but it looks like different schools require different things. Thank you all for your responses.
