People of color and colleges

Is it true that it is easier for black people get into college or even any other race that isn’t white? I’ve heard this before and I wanted to know if it was actually true because I don’t really know what to believe. I mean I understand that colleges need black people in order to balance out the demographics and to help the school’s reputation for diversity and stuff but also since most colleges are predominantly white, you would think that its easier for white people to get in since they need white people way more than they need black people. I’m just very confused about this and I have been pondering this for a while, so what are your opinions about it? I would like to hear opinions from every race too! Thanks!

Yes except for Asians because of Affrimative action.

Why don’t you research the ethnicity of college graduates here in the USA? I think you’ll find that the poor and often minority poor have severely limited primary and secondary education – leading them to a diminished HS graduation rate. This, obviously flows over to attaining a 4 year degree.

So the answer to your first question is an undeniable NO.

But I suspect this isn’t what you were really asking – however, I chose to point out this extremely relevant fact (IMHO) because while you may be wondering if certain advantages are had by certain minorities at certain schools, on the aggregate, minorities in America are still several steps behind the Caucasian majority.
