People Still Waiting For Ucsd 2007 Fall

I am still waiting, and didn't submit until a few hours before the deadline.

not sure for ucsd, but with ucla it didn't matter when you submitted

I submitted a day before, but I really dont care whether I get in to sd or not. Because I got into UCLA already, but I am still waiting on Cal.

i am still waiting and i submitted my application 4 hours before the deadline...8pm

question for those who want to go to UCSD, what was your reason for wanting to this school?

Latest news is that more people will hear back from them in May. Everyone will know by the end of May as they are trying to wrap everything up by June.

Isn't transfer admit day May 12th? I hope they tell us our decisions by then... Actually I just wish they would tell us now!

I want to go to UCSD because I really like SD. Great place to live. Everyone seems to only want to go to UCLA and Cal on this board but I would take the city of San Diego over LA or Berkeley any day.

I want to hear more people's reasons for wanting to go to UCSD...

It's pretty ridiculous how they have yet to release their results when UCLA has already started releasing admission decisions to their incoming transfer students.

International Studies - Linguistics Major.
GPA: 3.5
A-G course requirement completed
Currently attending UCSD as cross-enrollment student and attending summer session.
STILL WAITING.

I want to go to UCSD simply because their Bio department is supposed to be one of the best in the area. There are alot of biotech companies in San Diego, and I have heard from friends that UCSD has alot of good intern opportunities.

Applying to UCLA was never really an option for me, since my husband has a really good job and we own a home in San Diego. I think he would rather gouge out his eyes with spoons than move to LA. Besides, if I was going to move away and go to college, I would have went back home and applied to U of Washington. Seattle > LA. When you graduate nobody is going to care where you went to school, so I would rather drive 30 minutes to La Jolla than pack up and leave the beautiful city of San Diego. :)

UCSD said they will release all of their decisions by april 30, according to their website. But I really don't care anymore because I ve been admitted to UCLA, just waiting on Berkeley now.

for some reason I really want to know if I got in or not...

I bet they are waiting for us to SIR to UCLA or another sschool and the instant we do, we are rejected from ucsd lol...just speculation

How do they know if we send SIR to the other schools? I don't think they share information at all.

I didn't apply to any other UC, just UCSD and SDSU. I think the reason I have not heard back is I submitted my app at the last minute. They probably process applications on a first come, first served basis. I really hope I do find out on Monday though, since I have to pay my $250 deposit to SDSU by May 1st...

WOW $250, can you try to call them to get an extension?

I talked to them the other day about it, they said they are pretty strict with the timeline. So no, most likely not. If Monday rolls around and I am still in limbo, then I suppose I will call and talk to them about it. I have called UCSD like 3 times in the past month and everytime they tell me that decisions will be made by the 30th. So we shall see!

i really don't understand ucsd and why they haven't let out decisions for a lot of people.

i am a transfer from ucsb in anthropology 3.3 gpa.
i found out 2 weeks ago that i got in to ucsd, and this past week i got into ucla

my boyfriend is a transfer from cal poly in poli sci 3.5 gpa
he did not get into ucla and he is still waiting on ucsd.

for awhile i hadn't heard of any rejections so i was thinking the end ones would be rejections but reading a lot of people's stats on here who are waiting AND got into ucla, it makes me doubt that only the rejections are waiting to be released.

as for whoever asked, im choosing SD over LA because i'm a transfer from SB and i did not feel connected to anyone here. one of my best friends goes to SD and i know other people in the area, so transferring somewhere i have closer friends will make things easier, as opposed to LA where i'd know no one.. which is fine but i already did that in SB and it didn't work out. alsoooo my major at SD is biological anthropology but at LA it would just be anthropology so the courses required differ and all that.

I have a TAG agreement with UCSD and I haven't been accepted yet.

^ imo, thats pretty ridiculous lol

I did turn my app in at the very last minute on the final day they were accepting applications (Nov 30). I have no clue if that really matters or if that is just a myth... ???
