People to People student ambassador programs?

i just got a letter from this thing called 'people to people' student ambassador program inviting me to travel and study in australia and new zealand. it is founded by Eisenhower so i'm just wondering what this is?

is anyone familiar w/this? is it worth a trip/money?

thx

It's NOT worth it. It's a VERY good experience, but anybody can go so it doesn't look special or anything. If you had the money and don't want to do any college summer programs, then yes do it. But I personally don't think it's worth the money.

You may want to check out the summer programs forum - in particular this thread, which was just started recently.

I got that letter...all subsequent US Presidents were honorary chairmen...including GWB. No thanx.

It's a SCAM!!! All it really is is a chance for you to pay $7000 or whatever it is now for nothing in return. They send these to everybody, so it's nothing special.

alright thanks for your inputs guys!!!!!

yeah i thought, GeorgeWBush?....nah
