Need a new league? Call it the N.V. League. So we can talk endlessley about the Ivy League and the … Envy League.

According to RML, the Envy League will soon be the most prestigious in Asia.

LoL… when did I say something like that?

Envy League? Hahaha… do I sense that some people on CC are frustrated that they have to concoct weird stories just to satisfy themselves?

N.V. League. xiggi for the day-after-Turkey-Day win! Well played!

"A lot of people in the UK don’t know which schools comprise the Ivy League. When you try to ask them, many would mention Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Cornell then any of the following schools:

Stanford
Berkeley
Duke
William & Mary
MIT
Caltech"

I’m amazed at how sophisticated folks are in the UK. Most people in the U.S. wouldn’t do as well if asked to name the Ivy League colleges.

The vast majority of people in the US couldn’t name the Ivy League colleges, and don’t feel particularly upset or troubled by that. Nor should they. It’s not something that needs to be known other than to people for whom colleges are a special interest. I can’t name all the teams in the NFL either, but I’m not particularly upset by that fact.
