Perceived Rigor

I am currently taking AP Physics B at my school, but it is called IB Physics Year 1. I am dropping it, for a couple of reasons, but I did manage to get A's in it, and it is one of the hardest classes at the school. The class I will be taking instead is IB Biology SL, which is a standard level class. At the most selective colleges, will this reflect poorly? I am talking about in terms of going from a two year HL class, to a single year SL class. It will still be under the IB umbrella, but I am concerned about how the SL will look. This biology class is the top bio class offered at the school. Thank you in advance for any help!

Colleges don’t care about academic rigor since high school is a giant joke.

They may not like to admit it, but Colleges would much rather see a very high SAT score than someone who took 6+ AP classes and got all As in them.

Don’t listen to gfhykase‌. What he said is largely incorrect.
That being said, switching from HL Physics to SL Bio shouldn’t reflect TOO badly on you, Colleges tend to perceive your course rigor based on your counselor’s assessment (on a 5 point scale I believe) of your course rigor. I personally wonder why you’re switching. Do you need to fulfill a grad requirement; just don’t like physics/the teacher…?
