how many student are admitted under EA compared to regular decision which is a rate of 48%(according to collegeboard)? does anyone know? i just got rejected ED to boston university and im naturally pretty bummed and fordham is my 2nd choice so hopefully good news will come from them soon...

Sorry about your rejection at BU. Obviously that was a binding application and your first choice. That always hurts. Does BU automatically put you in the hopper for RD? Or are you just out for good? Most keep you in the hopper for RD, so maybe that will work out for you.

As for Fordham, I dont know what the percentages are for EA applicants. Its sort of irrelevant, if you think about it. The only thing that matters is whether you get in or not, not how many others did or didnt get in. I am crossing my fingers for you.

Its a great school!

I've heard that Fordham received 7,000 EA apps this year.. a pretty large increase from last year. Not a tremendous increase, but definitely a noteable one.

As to the acceptance rate, I would imagine it would be somewhere in the 40's. I don't think the EA rate for Fordham has ever been released though.

swansong-- i got flat out rejected, so no chance for that anymore. hopefully this will be a good oppurtunity for me to get to know some other schools, since i invested so much into BU and hardly cared about any other possible choices. i really hope i do in fact get into fordham, so thank you for your well wishes :)

Sorry about that. Now look forward and not backward. And I do hope you get into Fordham. But just in case you may want to add another school or two in the safety category to cover your bases. Pick schools you LIKE.

And if Fordham comes through, GREAT! Results are out for EA, I hear....so let us know what happened.
