Is there anybody who has taken this cluster who can offer me some feedback? I'm not going to be a music/theater major or anything... I actually no very little about both. I just think that this cluster sounds very interesting so I wanted to look into more and get some feedback to find out if it was worthwhile/interesting/difficult/anything else you would like to divulge about this cluster. Thanks in advance!

pixiedanzer took the performing arts cluster. she hasn't been posting on CC recently though but if i see her online ill go tell her someone asked about the cluster.

i took the cluster and i absolutely hated it, but now that i look back on it, i guess it was bearable. it's not really what it sounds like in the description. it's like an intensive study on reading and writing about performing arts. the cluster coordinators aren't updated, 2 retired and only 1 is returning with 2 other professors i believe. it was this cluster that made me realize what little interest i had in the arts.. figures cuz i'm a science person. but some ppl had some great experiences so don't just go by my opinion. oh and this cluster fills up relatively fast so hopefully your orientation isn't that late in the process.

i told myself during last spring quarter that i was going to be more productive and stop chatting on AIM and stop posting on collegeconfidential.

for better or worse, i'm back at the latter (for the summer at least)

I just looked up the class and apparently Hackett won't be teaching it anymore... does this make the class anymore appealing? I read back things about him on Bruinwalk so I'm hoping that it will improve the class tons.

The profs teaching it now are Winter (as usual), Thomas (as usual) and somebody new? A.J. Racy... so he's the wildcard I guess.

I'm hoping that Hackett's departure will make this cluster much better though. Any input?

hackett wasn't that bad in my opinion. a little boring at times, but he's a nice guy. i don't think mrs. thomas is returning either. but if you do sign up, have fun!
