1)Which of the following is a true statement about photosynthesis?

a)It is initiated by absorption of energy
b)It is required Nitrogen gas.
c)It is most efficient in green light
d)It occurs only in vascular plants
e)It consumes more ATP than it produces

2)Given the sea snake's habitat, which of the snake's characteristics is most advantageous?

a)absence of pelvic bones
b)Fixed fangs
c) live birth of young
d)Neurotoxic venom
e)Lack of facial hair

for #1, the answer is A, since the thylakoids of the leaves receive light energy to excite the electrons. for #2, i really don’t know haha sorry!

My question in #1 was a) is correct as is e) right?!
it does consume more atp than it produces right?!
I mean it produces no ATP but it consumes it.

and in #2, you just proved my point I guess. Do questions tend to be THAT specific?!!?
btw the answer is a) in #2

Well I’m in AP Bio and I found these questions pretty easy lol.

1 is A, because light excites the electrons in the thylakoid membranes, which activates the electron transport chain, etc. Answer E is wrong because ATP is actually made in the light reactions of photosynthesis for use later on. So photosynthesis doesnt really consume nor produce ATP…

2 A is correct because having a pelvic bones would restrict the snake’s ability to go deep because the pressure would eventually break the bone. Not having a pelvic bone allows it more flexibility in occupying its theoretical niche.

Hope I helped…

Alrighty genius. Fine. Whenever I have any question in Bio this next week before the SAT2, I will spam ur inbox with questions.
There is a price for arrogance u know :PPP

and thanks btw. that was very helpful :D
