Personal FA email?

Good/neutral? They asked me to turn in some stuff I forgot and directly addressed some questions regarding my father's medical status.

Also, thanks to my parents' inability to help me in any way possible, I somehow reported $18,000 in the untaxed income portion of the FAFSA while doing it myself. Greeaaaattttttttt.

Am I making something from nothing?

Well...I do not wanna give you false hope but it seems odd that the FA office would personally contact you right before decisions are out if you were going to get rejected.

It's not BAD news by any means, just take it as neutral to be safe. No point on building it up and then getting shot down if the decision is not what you want. :/

I hope you get in though!

Thanks rockerguyasj. I hope you get in as well.

I'll post my final decision in this thread for the habitual worriers of next year.

FA and Admissions are completely different offices.
It doesn't necessarily have to mean anything.

I was accepted, for future reference. Good luck to class of '14, '15, and so on!

i got one of those about three weeks ago, and i was accepted as well.

I got a similar letter a few weeks ago, and I've been accepted too.

So did anyone who received a personal financial aid email and not get accepted?

Anyone else have anything to add about past financial aid notifications?

I ask because I received a personal email from the financial aid department from JHU about a week and a half ago. I know JHU is not UChicago but it gives me some hope because I have been waitlisted at 4 colleges already.

I received one from Johns Hopkins too. Anyone have any thoughts on this financial aid thing?
