Personal question regarding GPA and graduate school

After my first year of college, I transferred elsewhere. My current university does not factor in the grades received at other schools--only the courses taken at this school get counted towards your cumulative GPA. I did really well my first year at the other school though, so I was wondering if those grades can count towards my total GPA when applying to a graduate program? Or will only the 3 years (from now until graduation) be recognized?

Your grad school will most likely count all grades from all schools. Typical though, grad programs often put the most weight on your last 2 years of your BA.
