<p>Please help! Does anyone know the difference between a personal statement and a personal essay? Brown is asking for both. I thought it was the same thing, why would they ask for both? </p>

<p>Seemingly, a personal statement has the main focus on oneself.... A personal essay has the main focus on one's views / opinions. Probably beest to check with the admission's office at the college</p>
