I have recently applied to Bryn Mawr. The application materials I sent in included: application (with essay), supplement, and every other detail. I’m concerned, because on the website, a “personal statement” is required. This piece I have not submitted, because I am unsure if a third essay is required, in addition to the commonapp essay and the supplement essay. I’ve called the school to clarify this, but the person who I reached was completely unable to explain the situation to me. She told me to simply write an essay describing why I want to attend Bryn Mawr. The problem with this is that the supplement question was the same topic, asking why an applicant chose BM and how they would contribute to it’s community. If anyone can provide me with some clarification as to whether I should write an additional essay or not, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I applied to Bryn Mawr through regular decision. I have not heard anything back from them yet, other than a letter that came in the mail (confirming that they received my common application). It said to log into my virtual bryn mawr account, however, the webpage does not open. Should I call BMC and ask if they have received all of my application? I applied through the Common Application, so all I sent was my school transcript, and some extra recommendation letters. What should I do!? I’m getting a little nervous! Any help would be appreciated!! =]
