Personal Statements

Hello,

I am applying to UCLA for chemical engineering as a freshman applicant. I read somewhere that I needed to include stuff about engineering in my personal statements. Is this true, and if so, can I only include it into one essay and just write about something non-engineering related in the other essay?

Engineers have to talk about it in their personal application, that much is true. I'm sure you can write about something non-engineering related in your second essay though.

It's also fine to talk about engineering for the second essay but not the first right?

if i get rejected from my first major(engineering) will they consider me for my alternate major(physics)? or will i just be denied

I'm pretty sure they consider you first as an applicant to the school at large.

I think it's okay if it's related... I wrote about my experience with chemistry and science olympiad.... which isn't quite engineering.
