Personalized Information Packet Questions

I just recieved my personalized information packet in the mail today and I have a question about it.

Is the number they give for scholarship and grants how much Fordham expects to give me or how much I will get from Federal Aid? It said that I will get 10,000 that I will not have to pay back, is that 10,000 from Fordham or from Federal Aid?

I received the same packet and from what I can make out, it is money that Fordham is giving you. FASFA hasnt been filed yet.

There should be a page that also tells how much in loans you and your parents should be taking out. At $10k aid, that leaves a whole lot of debt.

Small print also says this is a first guestimate and not final.

Hope they come back with some more $

Exactly why I want to know if I am going to get more from federal funds, because 10k is barely anything. Im really hoping that the 10k is just from Fordham and that I will be getting a good amount more of federal aid.

Unless you are living in poverty, I wouldnt count on alot of federal aid.

I have a similar question. I received a Dean’s scholarship offer for 10k with my early admission decision. I then received my personal information packet, and it said that my total grant and scholarship money was about about 19k. Does this number include my Dean’s scholarship? Fordham is my top choice and I hope to afford it.
