Perspectives

I'm starting college this summer. I hope to take English 1101 and History 2112 (U.S history)....for 6 credits...

Would it be too difficult to add another 2 credit hours for a perspectives class? Because I hope to work maybe 8-10 hours a week this summer...

Would I have any free time left? Or should I just take the 2 academic classes?

How often do the classes meet? Are they the m-f for 2 hours sort of deal? Also it might be useful to know if your work hours would be flexible or when they would be. If you could pump them out 2 hours a day in the morning before class or whatever I think you'd have plenty of free time. Don't trust me though i've never taken a summer course.

I don't think 8 hours is too much for the summer in general, but since it's be your first college experience, it might a little intense. It also depends on several things: how often do they meet (what days) and how long are the classes?
I took 6 hours the summer before last on TR's, at 2 hours for each class (although one always got out early). It was a piece of cake. Not really stressful at all only have classes 2 days a week. This past summer, I took 9 hours but the classes were 6 hours during a 5-week session (meaning each class for an hour and a half, every day) and 3 hours during a second 5 week session. It was every single day, all summer long. No break between the sessions. Not incredibly stressful because it was some intro classes, just kinda tiring since I only got a week break between spring and summer, and a week between summer and fall. Needless to say, I am greatly looking forward to my 3 1/2 weeks of Christmas break to do absolutely nothing for a while.
