If you get unexpected Petco or Chewy orders of cat nip I think we will know the source.

I definitely have more photos of my cats than of anything else.

There might be a cat on a bed here, but I can’t admit that because the cats are not allowed on the beds.

My H is constantly telling me to stop taking so many pet photos. Never! This is my moody bad cat.

Grand baby and grand dog. GD thought she was walking the dog.
Grand baby is D1’s daughter, and the dog belongs to D2. I was doing double duty.

I’m loving all of these pictures, but @CountingDown I have a special place in my heart for all beagles.

@2plustrio, I’m sorry about your dog. After losing our last dog I took a long time to research breeds before deciding on a new puppy. I wasn’t in a rush and had a very specific list of criteria for what we want in a dog. Coton de Tulear checked all the boxes and we got our puppy in April. Here he is at 4 months. It’s a fantastic breed as long as you’re okay with the grooming commitment.

So cute! Our last dog had scheduled grooming every 8-10 weeks (he was a maltese mix) and we brushed and clipped inbetween. How often are you planning on your coton?

He’s just 6 months now so I’m still feeling my way through the grooming process. Right now I’m having him groomed every 5 weeks with laundry room sink baths as needed when he gets really messy. I may find I can stretch the time between visits. His young puppy coat was pretty easy so I brushed him 1-2 times a week to get him used to it. Now that the adolescent coat is starting to come in, he needs daily brushing. His hair is a good 5" long now and it will mat if you look at him sideways. My understanding is this part will get easier when he gets his adult coat. Many owners opt to clip into a puppy cut to make grooming much more manageable. Even though he’s purely a pet and won’t be shown, I’d like to keep fairly long hair if at all possible. It’s one of the things that’s so unique about Cotons and they’re just so stinking cute with all the hair. The breeder told me everyone is first attracted to their looks, then they fall in love with the personality. I think that’s spot on - it’s a very sweet, loving and sometimes comical breed.

I have one too! Mine is 12 now. Best dogs ever! Here he is over the years. He stopped tolerating grooming a few years ago so he’s back in a puppy cut.

We haven’t been ready to adopt since we lost our best dog ever two years ago. But we saw this sweet girl and are in the process of adopting her  She’s a purebred Dane.
