Peterson's?

Hi,

I just came into possession of a few Peterson's practice SAT's. I've never even heard of this company, so I'm very skeptical as to their validity. I doubt they're official like the BB's, but what does everyone think? I saw a clear noticeable difference between PR's tests and BB's, and PR is among the most respected prep companies. It's doubtful that these are valid, but I don't want to just thrown them away without first consulting the CC'ers. Thanks.

As I was asking on one of the other threads about which books to buy, I did not mention that Peterson's was another one I bought with 5 or 6 practice papers. At the time of buying it, I didn't know if it was good or bad because I had little knowledge of the SATs, but I'm not sure of the validity of the papers, and am also curious about it. In terms of difficulty, they seem fairly equal with the real SAT papers, but I haven't tried enough papers to make a good judgement of it.

That's two people that want to know, you all have to answer now! lol.

Random question to all: Which is LEAST likely to fail? My internal HD or external HD? So I know where to put all my SAT stuff, lol. I'd put it in both, but I'm constantly updating my vocab list, so it wouldn't work.

If your vocab list isn't a huge file then you can always decide to upload it to the internet via FTP or by using a file host (like megaupload).

External HDs can often fail after a few years, and I've had a number of flash USB sticks that have failed after 2 months! So I'd say that for the little things, you can constantly upload to the internet for backup, and the larger files can be backed up to an external hard drive on a weekly or monthly basis, depending on how often you change or add files...
