Pets and Dorms

Obviously we have to leave any cats, dogs or birds at home, but how about fish? What about frogs, turtles, geckos, and miniature hamsters? (Considering the frogs and turtles would stay in their tanks).
Would this change from single to triple rooms?
Just curious. :)

You’re allowed a small fish tank (like literally a fishbowl) and that’s it. Thank god that rule is in place, I’d be irate if my roommate tried to bring a small zoo with her to college. You’ll be very busy and won’t have time to take care of animals anyway, I promise.

Okay. So just a fish bowl. What if I put an aquatic frog inside it? It wouldn’t bother my roomates, I wouldn’t take it out. I’m asking for a single anyway.

the rule of thumb is anything that can live permanently underwater.
so aquatic snakes, frogs, fish, etc.

Thank you! I suppose that means African Dwarf Frogs in a tiny tank are perfectly okay. Yay!

if they let you have a miniature hamster, i can’t imagine what they’d have against a normal hamster …

i’ve had a hamster and two of my friends have had guinea pigs.

My suitemates had a hamster last year in their dorm room. As long as your RA is chill, it won’t be a big deal.
