Pharmacy school schedule

Hello all,
I'm considering a career in pharmacy but one of my considerations include pharmacy school. Any current student or recent grad who can tell me what their typical schedule was like? Also, how many hours per week did you spend out of the classroom on hw, studying, etc?

Thanks,

My old roommate was a PharmD student. As a first year, (P1), he generally had class from 9:30 to 2 or 3 most days. Some days would run later than that. Study time varied depending on how close he was to a test. Sometimes it was only an hour a day, not studying on the weekends, other times, we literally wouldn't see each other for weeks (partly due to my own schedule as a medical student). The few times where he had upcoming tests but I was just off a test, I guess he'd routinely 6-8 hours a night leading up to test week, and he'd spend 12-14 hours on a saturday or sunday studying.

is o-chem as hard as they say it is?

From what I hear: a lot of memorization and a lot of work, but it's doable. I also heard orgo lab is very time consuming (might just be my university)

Thanks all. Any others wishing to comment?

I'm also considering doing pharmacy. I can't decide whether to do pre-med, pharmacy, or both. My sister is in a pharmacy prg right now, and from what I can see, the work is very time consuming. I don't know hours wise how she spends per week, but it is definitely tough. About organic chem, my sister did well, but she did spend a lot of time studying for those tests.
