What will my schedule look like??

Hello, I will be trying to complete my pre-pharmacy recs and work at the pharmacy in Walgreens and I am trying to get a feel for what my schedule will be like. I will be attending Loyola University for 2 years and will then transfer to Midwestern for 4 years. Midwestern’s pre-recs for pharmacy are 62 hours which would mean I would have approximately 31 per year and 15.5 per semester. I will be trying to get some credit from AP tests but I was wondering if anybody could tell me how many days per week I would have to go to school to get 15.5 hours in a semester???

15 credit hours means you’re in class 15 hours a week. That doesn’t include studying.
The amount of studying you need to do depends on the person, some people need 3 hours for every hour in class and some people only need 1.

I assume that most full-time students (12-18 credits) are in class 4-5 days a week.

My D had 13 credit hours in her first two semesters. But she spent over 19 hrs actually in class with bio and chem lecture/recitation/lab (7 hrs each for chem and bio).

She spent 2-6 hrs a day in class M-F.

Plus homework, studying, lab reports, projects.

She can use some AP credits for Calc, Econ, English and history so she takes some classes for fun. Like a foreign language and ASL.

She worked in the summer and during breaks in a pharmacy.

In her sophomore year she got an on campus job in a lab for about 10 hrs a week.

It keeps her pretty busy.

Once she starts pharmacy school she will be in class/IPPE from 8 to 3, 9-4 or 10-5 depending on day (except for a lunch break).

So she will most likely only work during summer to get her pharmacy intern hours.
