So I recently got a job as pharm tech in a local independent pharmacy after finishing my first preprofessional year. My pharmacist only pays minimun wage but the opportunity is still worth it because i didnt have any experience. Anyway im currently gaining alot of skills as she lets me do pretty much everything an experienced pharm tech does. Looking forward to next summer, i was hoping to maybe get a job at a chain store, ex. Walgreens. So my question is do you guys know all the rules and regulations involving licensure to make myself more qualified. I heard before that it wasnt neccesary to get a pharm tech license if you are currently a pharmacy student. But at the same time, the main reason i couldnt get a pharm tech job at a chain store this summer was because i didnt have work experience. Now that i have work experience, im wondering if my competition will also be licensed. One of my coworkers also mentioned something about the pharmacist signing off for my license. So does anyone know all the proper rules and regulations for a pharmacy technician in new jersey as a current pharmacy student?
