I want to become a teacher eventually but first would like to do something else, such as pharmacy. If I am a pharmacist (6 year PharmD program) how can I eventually become a teacher? Do i need to go back to school and get a degree for education? I would love to teach math/bio/chem

There are many routes to becoming a teacher. Usually if you have a bachelors degree in any field you can become a teacher with additional training. One way is with Alternate route [Alternative Teacher Certification](http://www.teach-now.org/overview.cfm) and the requirements vary state to state. I imagine you could also get a masters degree in education as well but the specifics you would have to check into.

I am a nurse and to teach nursing students, you need a Masters degree in Nursing. Pharmacy may have something similar if you wanted to teach pharmacy students.

Hmph… I’ve wanted to teacher something like Math, Chem, or Bio on the high school level. This 6 year program doesnt have any Bachelors degree… just straight to PharmD. Bleh
