what happens during the telebears adjustment period?

The adjustment period is where you get to make final changes to your schedule.

For example, you decide to give up waitlisting for some classes, or you drop your “backup” class because you got off the waitlist for another. Or, you attend the first day of this class where you figure out that you’re either totally unprepared or the professor just simply won’t “work” for you.

It’s basically the period of time during the first few weeks of classes for you to finalize your schedule. Eg. I used it freshman year when I thought I could handle 17 units; started to really hate this 5-unit class, and at the end, I dropped it near the end of the adjustment period.

do some of the classes “free up” during the adjustment period?

Yes, indeed. It is why for the average course, a waitlist of about 10% of the class max enrollment will generally clear into the class, the last perhaps two weeks or so into the class but many before that.

thank you!

Can I drop a class during Phase II that I enrolled in during Phase I? Is it possible to drop classes altogether during the adjustment period without a fee?

Yes, you may drop a class during phase II regardless of when you registered for it.

You have until September 4th to drop classes without the $10 fee.

july 22nd for me.
