PhD Chemistry - UC Davis v/s UBC Vancouver

<p>I have offers for PhD chemistry (analytical) from UC Davis and UBC Canada - both fully funded.
I am having difficulty choosing between the two. Any guidance will be appreciated.</p>

<p>I like the faculty at both places but I think I might enjoy life in a city like Vancouver rather than a small town.
My main concern is job opportunities after my PhD - which one is better?</p>

<p>Anything else I should consider? What is your opinion?

<p>If you plan to return to the US - Davis is probably the ticket.</p>

<p>UBC is an excellent program. My son has been there for a Ph.D. for the past few years and likes it very much. He loves Vancouver. A Ph.D. from UBC won’t hurt you in finding positions after graduation, it is well regarded in the U.S.</p>
