PhD in History at Drew U (NJ)

I was attracted to Drew because of its 5-year masters in Teaching. I would like to major in history and teach. I also noticed Drew has a PhD in History and Culture program which states "students can complete their degree in 5 years." This means after I graduate from undergrad right? Or is the whole PhD from start to finish 5 years? I am confused. Please help.

And would it be better to have a masters in Ed (in 5 years) start teaching... then go back either for a phd in Ed or History at a later time? Anyone with knowledge on this matter or one familiar with the teaching program at Drew, please help!

Bummmpppppppppppppppppppppppppp

I think the PhD itself will take 5 years after the undergrad.

Ah ok, thank you
