Hello all,

I wanted to ask if I can actually do this and if this is even possible in my case. I am in a rather nontraditional situation than other MBA aspirants. So, I have a very technical background in Life Sciences and I have no business background whatsoever--I started my PhD program in Biomedical sciences at UPenn, and now I am thinking that I should probably get an MBA as well--and knowing that Wharton is a top notch school, I was wondering if I even have a shot--since I don't have any finance/accounting/business background.

Does anybody have any feedback/suggestions/insight for a case like mine--should I take any classes or prepare in a way that can help me achieve this goal? Should I even attempt to do this? The reason I want to get an MBA as well is I think it will open doors because I eventually want to move into management potentially in the pharmaceutical industry and/or consulting.

I do have two years of work experience--as I worked in a non-profit biomedical company before starting my graduate program.

Thanks for reading my post and for any input. I appreciate all the help!
