I was looking at my student profile, and apparently Iām in Isham dorm! I donāt know who my room mate is, but can anyone tell me about Isham? Iā'm really curious and excited to find out.
I know they havenāt sent out the email, but I think I found my dorm. Go to PAnet, then select Academic Resources. Scroll to the bottom of the page and look to the left where it says Students Reports Dashboard. Click on the link. Once youāre there, click the yellow icon, then click profile. Youāre dorm should be under your name.
Thank you!! I heard that the west(?) wing of Isham was just renovated and the dorm is overall a lot newer and nicer. I think the dorm is either all or mostly singles, but Iām not sureā¦
@scareddwarf Nathan Hale is one of the bigger freshman girls dorms. Reasonably nice on the inside from what I know. Tends to be one of the more cliquey dorms ā¦
@snowyowlgal
So I waited until the last second and applied in december but I would suggest starting now before your school starts or you start getting a lot of work. I think the forms are already up on the Andover website!
Hi, I am starting as a Junior in the fall and I have a question regards to courses. I just received my schedule and one of the teachers that is assigned has a really terrible reputation on ratemyteachers.com. All the students (41 reviews) gave this teacher a bad review and warn everyone to stay away form this particular teacher with very lengthy reasons. Would I be able to switch teachers in beginning of semester or that is not allowed under any circumstances?
@texasbsgal could you please pm me the name of the teacher. I am curious to see if I know who you may be talking about. They are generally not too keen on students requesting teacher switches, especially as juniors. As you become more senior, it is possible, however the only time I EVER got my teacher switch approved was in the last term of senior year. Honestly, one bad teacher wont make or break the trimester. I wouldnāt fret over it, especially before you even step on campus. Also, think about it this way. If you have heard that this particular teacher has a bad reputation, other incoming students may have certainly heard the same negatives. Certainly not all of you could switch teachers. If they only let certain students switch for no reason other than that the teacher is not liked, it really wouldnāt be fair. I will be the first one to say that I most certainly did not like every teacher I had during my four years at Andover, however in the end can guarantee that the amount of exceptional teachers will far outweigh the bad ones.
