also, note that while the amount of books we read doesn’t apparently seem like much, we are required to read every night, annotate text, and be prepared for full discussions the next day. it takes a lot of effort to prepare for these discussions and a lot of time to look for nuances and details in text.

I agree wit aeroplanes. Even though the amount of reading is relatively little to most other high schools, Harkness makes it so that one must read extremely carefully to bring something to the discussion. We are graded on our continuous discussion and ideas.

I’m applying to enter as a lower. Will that be really awkward?

Im applying as an Upper, finally got most of my App done today, still collecting all of my multimedia, so that they can see how well rounded I am on my i-rennaisance blog, including my political, mathematical and philosophical commentary.

how are you putting that in your app?! I have a blog that I’ve run for 3 yrs ([The Smart Stylista | intelligent insight in to all things fashion](http://www.alexandrapink.com/)). Shooootttt. good luck! :)

On the Gatewaytoprepschools.com site, there’s an area I think Page 6, where you can post multimedia as well as anything you want which was not mentioned in the app. Nice blog!!

gatewaytoprepschools? is that where you did your app? i just did it straight off the exeter site… and thank you :)

oh, I just realized this was exeter site and not andover…woops!! Yeah exeter you have to do it snail mail, I believe, while with about 8 other boarding schools including Andover, Deerfield, Groton, Kent, HotchKiss and a few others you can do it on that website, best of luck!

Sorry, Neato, I may have mistyped. While my son was in his interview, I observed the other applicants and their families as they waited to be called in for their interviews.

Can Exeter handwritten essays be scanned and emailed or they have to be sent via USPS?

I sent mine in the mail…

Hi again,
I posted on this tread a while ago and I want to bring it back.

As you all know, Addmission/Waitlist/Rejection letters were sent out not to long ago. I have been waitlisted at Andover and my family and I are very serious about my education. Is there a waitlist acceptance rate at Andover? Thanks
Hoping for the best,

i guess it was just personal preference. Both schools are very impressive. Personally I am a math and science enthusiast, and I felt more at home at Exeter. It was a tough decision though, and I don’t believe anyone could go wrong choosing between them.
