You have a lot of STEM accomplishments, which is great, and your grades are good too. However, we would need to know your SSAT score, and possibly your TOEFL score to tell you more about your chances
Like what @iamveryconfused said, CC needs an SSAT score, or at least a TOEFL score to know more about you. However, you seem like you have good grades, excellent leadership positions, lots of awards to boast, and an outstanding motivation to do what you are interested in.
First of all, you need a sport if you don’t have one. It’s very important to your application, and you should start a sport if you haven’t already.
Practice interviews, and prepare for the ssat if you haven’t taken it already. PEA and PA are both very competitive schools that are highly selective. You need to have strong english skills, a sports requirement, leadership requirements, high SSAT score, etc.
An international student longing for FA at a school like PEA and PA will be difficult. It seems like you have many accomplishments in the STEM area, but not in english.
As of now, sports? SSAT? English?
thanks for replied, i’m going to take my toefl test in Jun this Year and SSAT in November this year. I’m also a member in school chess team and participated in a lot of chess competition.
That’s great. Do you participate in any sports? Do you have any awards or accomplishments in the language area?
well, i participate in tennis and football. But i’m not well in playing them
Skill is not as important as long as you can show commitment. So it seems that you have solid academics in the STEM area, sports, leadership positions, and various accomplishments in chess& the rubik’s cube. However, the one thing you don’t have right now is proof that you are competent for Andover and Exeter’s english programs. Have you won an award in an essay tournament? Do you participate in speech and debate? What kind of proof do you have to tell the schools that you’re a well rounded student that is fit for their school?
And of course, in addition to that, you need a solid toefl and SSAT score.
Your accomplishments are great. Try to score in the top 10 percentile. Remember, you need to have safety schools! I am applying to 5 schools. Andover is also really competitive. Best of luck, as we both are pursuing the admissions process together.
