I love when students say that it is common to see people having philosophical discussions in the hallways at 2 am. Does this happen at Tulane? Are people excited about what they are learning and discussing it with one another outside of the classroom? Is there an intellectual environment at Tulane?
And on the subject, what are some colleges that could be characterized by these pondering discussions? Tufts, Brown, etc.
Thank you!
I am sure those discussions happen at Tulane. But probably the most famous school for that is U. Chicago. Probably the most under the radar for it but completely geared towards that that kind of curriculum and student is St. Johns. Not the one in NYC with the basketball team, but the one that has two campuses, Maryland and New Mexico, and has a very structured program where you read the classics in their original languages. Interesting place to say the least.
