Philosophy Course

How many of you have taken a philosophy course? What branch was it and are you glad you took it?

As a high school student?

I would love to take a regular Philosophy course and a Political philosophy course.

I am hoping to get to go to JSA for the summer to take Pol. Philosophy. Not sure how I can get Philosophy in my community though since my school does not offer it.

I took two Philosophy courses two summers ago at Stanford. One was Philosophy through Social Justics (a basic Philosophy course) and Philosophy through Bioethics.

I am extremely glad I took it as I am most likely going to major in a combined field with it (Economics/Philosophy).

Last year (my freshman year), I took an Ethics course. The teacher is hilarious but very very smart. His sense of humor and intelligence really brightened the entire class and made it a lot more interesting. It's a great course overall and I learned a lot on the history of philosophy through it. I'm planning to take a philo. course named Existionilism (sp) during my senior year with the same teacher.

I am currently taking an ethics course at Georgetown (summer school). I really enjoy it, and leave every class questioning myself and how i think...

I am actually about to write a paper for said class
