Can someone please provide some examples that would help me comprehend the meaning and theory of DEONTOLOGY?

Hey grandma, you look really nice today, and then she smiles. But if you are lying then this is an immoral action according to Kant.
If you are going to shut down a nuke plant and you need specialists, but only for say 1/2 a year, and you leave out this information so that you can have the best people doing the work, this is also immoral.

Have the means be an end in upon itself. This contrasts with the end justifies the means, which is do whatever it takes to have a desirable outcome. Kant (Deontology) says that each step along the way must be based on morals and must be rationalize. You should not have to justify your actions to yourself, 'Oh I had to speed to get to the meeting in time." because they are probably immoral.

Hmm... interesting. But is there an objective morality we are supposed to abide by? Or is it a self-created system of morality, as in Sartrean existentialism?

sartre is awesome
