Everyone,

I am going into USC as a PPL major, but am having second thoughts. I feel as if this major will get me nowhere in the professional world if I do not end up going to law school. International Relations continues to be appealing, especially since we are required to take a foreign language, and I want to take Arabic. Does anybody here have experience with either of these departments? Your advice is very much appreciated. Thanks

the PPL major is part of dornsife, so you will be required to take a minimum of 3 semesters of a foreign language, anyway. i don’t think that should be part of your decision making process.

if you’re concerned about placement of non-JD PPL majors, you should call/email the department and ask about job placement of graduates (ie ask questions like: excluding graduates pursuing a JD, what percentage of PPL alums are working in a relevant field?)
