A friend of my S told him that she got a call from George Pinney today offering her a spot in the class of 2013. Did anyone else get a call?

WHen we were at the final audition on Saturday, he said he’d begin calling as early as Sunday night. We received an email yesterday just thanking us for attending and notifying us that we would be hearing soon. I don’t know if that went out to everyone who auditioned this past weekend as a form type thing or if it went to those who are not first tier acceptances or possibly to those rejected since we know George Pinney is calling those who they are inviting to the program. Anyone with further info???

My s auditioned early Feb and the Monday after he got that same e-mail. It doesn’t appear to have anything to do with a decision.

Thats kindof what we figured. Must be what they send after each audition including the last one. Thanks for the info.

Best of luck to all those who auditioned! Hope you hear great news soon! My daughter did not end up auditioning for Indiana, as she has accepted an offer at a different school. But, as I’ve said before, it sounds like an amazing program, the people who run the department are wonderful, and the campus is more than beautiful. Again, hope your phone rings very soon!

I know a girl who got a call from Mr. Pinney last night so it seems he is contacting kids now, if that helps.

so do you just get a “thank you” letter if you are not accepted into the program? Or no word at all? Any idea how many they are accepting?

You will get a letter no matter what. If you do not get into the BFA you will most certainly get invited to come to IU as a BA in theater.

My s received an e-mail from Scott today stating he is on the waitlist and will be notified by April 5 of his final status. Anyone else get this? I wonder how many they waitlist? Everyone who didn’t get an acceptance?

MO2, I have no idea how many are on Indiana’s BFA wait list but I have not heard of a a school putting everyone who did not get an acceptance onto a wait list.

Ok, thanks. I did get my answer - 9.

Have they already called everyone?

I don’t think so… I think they’re accepting/rejecting/wait listing people as they come across their files. So, like last year, I think it could take a good 2 weeks till they get through everybody and make all of their final decisions. I could be wrong though.

My daughter received a phone call from George Pinney on Monday night. She has until April 1st to decide about acceptance.

I imagine that they then look to the wait list after that date.

My D just received a rejection email from IU. They said they’re in the process of sending letters and would love to try and call everyone direct, but with IM and texting, it seemed cruel to make everyone wait. Check your email!

Just got rejected…it feels pretty awful

I know it may be difficult, but you’ve got to keep your chin up and don’t let it break your spirit. It always seems to work out for the best. Wherever you end up, you will be happy. And, you may want to go to Indiana for a BA in Theatre. I’ve heard that you can take many of the same classes as the BFA kids. Best of luck to you!

Does everyone NOT accepted into the BFA program get the strong suggestion to do the BA theater? In other words, is that a standard part of their form rejection letter (meaningless in other words) or does it really mean that you are invited to do a BA in theater?

It was in my rejection letter too. I’d assume it’s in all of the letters.

I was wait-listed, via e-mail.
How many students did they take?

The other schools that I was accepted into want to know about my decision rather early (within the next week) and I still haven’t heard anything from Indiana, even after calling and leaving a message explaining my situation. I’m not sure whether or not to hold out for them though.

Deciding which school to go to is a hard enough decision anyways =/ ughh
