Photographs of the Santa Barbara coast

Just found this cool website:

<a href="http://www.californiacoastline.org/cgi-bin/image.cgi?image=200404702&mode=sequential&flags=0&year=2004%5B/url%5D">http://www.californiacoastline.org/cgi-bin/image.cgi?image=200404702&mode=sequential&flags=0&year=2004</a></p>

It's a project that photographs the whole California coast, and has extremely large photograps of the UCSB campus and Isla Vista. You can move along the coast by pressing the "Northwest" or "Southeast" buttons (or click the map), and also press "Time Comparison" to see older pics (the 2002 photoset has great panoramic shots of the campus). Click of the photos themselves to see really large versions.

Here's an interesting one. You can see the freshman Channel Island 5 dorms and most of the campus in the foreground. The Manzanita and San Rafael dorms are at the center left edge of the photo. You can see the Francisco Torres towers in the background near the upper left corner. Parts of Isla Vista are visible right above the Manzanita dorms.

I think it gives a nice overall sense of where everything is located.

that's pretty cool!
