<p>I have decided that the path I will take in college will be to major in Photography & Business.
I have found after searching that I have a very minimal list of choices when it comes to these two.</p>
<p>Here is the low down.
I live in Erie, Pennsylvania and one thing my parents are very "put foot downish" is that it must be drivable in one day. (9 hours). This right here eliminates many options.</p>
<p>Another is that I will be the one in debt, not my parents, so they are worried about the cost, such as $40k+ unless the school has good financial aid and scholarships for a white/male/middle class (which is extremely rare).</p>
<p>Lastly my SATs were absolutely horrible and wont go into much detail but I really cannot bank on my SATs if I want to apply to some upper schools. and I go to a school with almost 900 students in my class alone so Class Rank is out of the question as well.</p>
<p>What I hope to have going for me is:
~ My GPA is pretty good and I go to a local college Gannon University part time and will have about Almost all my Freshman Gen. classes completed with A's and B's.
~If visiting the school, my personal interview, as I'm a people person.
~ECA's: Student Council Committee Head & Secretary, Student Ambassador, Honors College, member of the Second Mile Leadership Institution, I'm in the National Honor Society and over 3000+ hours of volunteer hours all while holding down a part time jobs and running a business.
~ Oh and I hope I have a good essay =)</p>
<p>And after visiting some schools, I have decided I want a school in a Very large city or one within a couple mile radius, as this is more ideal for me and my career. </p>
<p>Schools I'm Interested In:
~NYU (Prob my top choice but my parents do not like the $52k price tag and are afraid of me paying it back, also my SAT's are not up to par.)
~RIT (I'm very close to Rochester and this has an amazing photo program like NYU, but I have gotten many mixed reviews)
~Loyola University Chicago (Will visit in fall right before early decision making)
~Point Park University (Visited and liked, though not sure about Pittsburgh)
~Drexel University (Have not visited and will not, but want to know what to expect of Philly?) </p>
<p>If anyone could please offer insight OR other school options pertaining to my criteria before I make/choose an early decision. And I want to stick with a University, not an Art School like the Art Institutes or SVA type school. </p>
