What kind of batting/fabric do you use in your summer quilts? I want to make some for southern relatives and a big, warm quilt would be too much in that climate.
I just used some regular batting. This is going to hang above the couch so I didn’t care what was in it. I see that there are some out there advertised as lightweight or ultrathin.

Consider a quilt of an old American flag as it would make a great wall decoration for a study.

Thanks! I’ve lived in CO for nearly 30 years and that was only the second time I’ve ever seen a bighorn sheep. Perhaps I should take the slow route more often.

The cats of Quebec City! We saw a cat cafe on our bus tour and H had to stop. It’s run by veterans as a safe space for people with mental disabilities and illness. Many of their employees are autistic. And then also some standard fotos. My waterfall picture is in the fitness thread along with our 487 steps up. On our way back home now. Crossing fingers it goes ok. Worst part of the trip is the the flights. Super expensive and no good options. 2 stops and only 1:10 to get through passport control at dulles. It would only be 2.5-3 hours if it was nonstop! Instead it’ll be 8-9…

Thank you! I don’t have a camera, so it’s just my iPhone, and no background in anything artistic. I just really, really like taking pictures.

They’ve got “fancy cats” - lots of Bengal/Bengal mixes. They are special cats.
