View from our table for our anniversary dinner; people around us were celebrating birthdays. We couldn’t have asked for a better table (and we always ask for a better table .)
There are skeletons of a pregnant woman and her husband up in our town. Someone is trying to get donations for a person in need and posts photos of the “decorations” on Facebook. I find it in very poor taste.
@Marilyn Happy Anniversary!
From Impressionist exhibit at Denver Art Museum. Oh, we do love being retired and doing weekday tourist things near home.
We live in Virginia and last summer I’d walk into the backyard in the morning when the grass was dewy and see literally hundreds of these tiny spider webs covered in dewdrops. Most were an inch to two inches wide. When the sun hit them just right, it was spectacular. Some were very disorganized so there were different species of tiny spiders out there.
Zoom in if you can to see the dewdrops on the webs.
Here’s another buggy photo. I actually saw these sawfly larvae during a field trip at work to assess forest pests. Those round bubbles coming out of their mouths is regurgitated resin they use as a defense mechanism! They do eat pine needles but aren’t a major forest pest. I love nature!
Disney World without kids is so much fun!
We hit three parks yesterday (after visiting Epcot all day Monday). Over 11 hours and 11.5 miles of walking. Hollywood Studios has a new Star Wars area, 14 acres, that’s awesome. There’s an attraction that’s actually an immersive experience where you feel like you’re in a movie - a resistance fighter moving through an enemy ship in a vehicle. I’ve not seen anything like it.
Great photos ! Thank you for sharing.
